A Swanky Gramercy Bar

3Steps is one of those bars that should be featured on "Secrets of New York" because it is, by definition, an oxymoronic experience.

The bar is microscopic, but it never feels crowded. The vibe is Soho circa 1997, but the drink prices are Upper East Side circa 2002. There's generally a good-looking crowd that passes through either at the beginning of the night or the end. Definitely a spot for celebs since there aren't any Page Six spies in this place.

Ummm it's funny how the cosmic forces of New York seem to remind each and everyone one of us that "someone's always listening". The day after I made the comment about Page Six, this appeared in the "Sightings" section.

Sightings

MAGGIE Rizer with May Anderson and her latest fling, Jamie Burke, getting Pop Burgers delivered to Second Avenue watering hole 3 Steps . . . REV. Al Sharpton, who was like a son to the late James Brown, at the St. Regis with Jeff Allen, who was Brown's agent for 25 years, discussing the mishandling of Brown's estate.
